My wife and I much enjoyed our brief stay at Bath Arms.The welcome was warm and friendly, the bar supper delicious and our accomodation was very clean, tidy, well presented and most comfortable.A definite 5* experience in a 4* hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay here, sadly only one night. Very relaxing and welcoming. Polite, friendly well trained staff.Evening meal and breakfast (cooked to order) were of a really high standard, hot and tasty.Beautiful bedroom with large comfy bed and big bathroom. Lovely extra touches with jars of sweets and nuts.No complaints whatsoever.Would definitely stay again and thoroughly recommend.Thank you for looking after us.

A really nice establishment within the lovely town of Cheddar. Great location and walking distance to the Gorge and Caves, (both must sees if in the area). Not cheap for a Superior room that needed attention decoration wise, but can't fault the staff who are polite, friendly and efficient.

Well, where do I start? An absolute gem of a place. The rooms were great, food was fantastic, staff and owner are amazing and in a superb location.I am very fussy and want things right, if this is you, then you need to stay here.Thank you to everyone who made our couple of days very pleasant.

We were winding down out vacations and this was a perfect hotel to do it at.The PUB area was very comfortable and our dining was perfect.The room was 5 stars to me and the staff was very accommodating.We will be coming back.

We had car issues and they guys were so accommodating and understanding. The room was lovely and the attention to detail of checking in and thought was great. Fresh milk for tea in the room - amazing!! Good in the Resturant and breakfast - top notch. Will be returning

We had a great stay at the Bath Arms in Cheddar, literally 10 mins walk from the Gorge.The room was spacious and clean and the extra touch of nibbles and treats were very much appreciated.Breakfast had a wide ranging selection with hot food cooked to order.Ours was delicious and set us up for the day.Staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout, Pheobe at breakfast looked after us particularly well.We also ate in the restaurant in the evening which was good service and great food.We would definitely stay again.

The Bath Arms is a well-situated, welcoming hotel for a short stay in Somerset. The welcome was warm, the staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and the food in the restaurant and the bar with its log fires was of a high standard.

Unsure if the owner reads the reviews but if you do please thank all of the staff they are all so polite helpful and smiling at the same time. We have stayed in excess of 20 hotels in the last 12 months twice at the bath arms. And they are the nicest staff we have come across. Massive well done to the team.

The hotel was easy to find. There was plenty of parking during our three night stay. The rooms were well decorated and there was extra touches like sweets and nibbles and still and sparkling water. Breakfast was very well presented and good size portions. Staff were welcoming and friendly and happy to give advice on things to see and do locally.Would definitely stay here again if we are to revisit this area.

We had a relaxing care free stay here.Staff were well mannered, polite and professional.Owner was lovely and welcoming.The place itself felt really homely, it was clean and so relaxing and the food was fantastic.I couldn’t find fault, and it put the 5 star hotels we had stayed at earlier in the week to Shame.Excellent

We stayed for two nights and it was perfect. Our evening meals and breakfasts were delicious and hot. All the staff are kind and considerate. It is obvious the manager is a natural leader and sets the tone.

Good parking, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, good restaurant and clean and comfortable rooms. We would hesitate to come back here.

We have stayed at the Bath Arms on several occasions and have always had a lovely, relaxing and pleasant stay in picturesque surroundings around Cheddar and the Gorge. Jacqui and her team are so friendly and helpful; plenty of choice of what to eat including a great variety of dishes on the breakfast menu. Have no hesitation in recommending the Bath Arms to anyone. Hope to go back next year.

We wanted to explore Cheddar Gorge and hotel is just over half a mile away. Large, comfortable room and friendly staff. Breakfasts good with wide choice and good quality vegetarian options for evening meals. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay a the Bath Arms.The room was a lovely size with a huge comfortable bed and nice and warm.The dinner and breakfast were excellent and it was a very reasonable price.I would definitely stay again.

My partner and I travelled to Cheddar for one night and had a wonderful stay Bath Arms Hotel. The room was very clean, quite comfortable, reasonably large, and has a nice bathroom. We had dinner in the pub rather than the restaurant area. The food and drinks were great and the manager Murray and his crew were very helpful and always available. I would gladly stay here again if we make our way back to Cheddar

We had a great 3 night stay here and found all the staff friendly and helpful.The food was excellent and the bedroom spacious, with alarge comfortable bed and a generous sized en-suite.Nothing was too much trouble and we would not hesitate to book again.Thanks to all the staff.

We were so pleased we chose the Bath Arms. The pub is so welcoming and full of character. Roaring fires and good atmosphere.Our room was spacious and had a simple elegance. It was a lovely place to stay. Murray gave us excellent cutomer service. Very neat Cheddar Gorge and caves. Excellent food. Spacious bedroom. Only problem was ripped duvet cover. Still clean and didn't affect our stay.

Nice stay , staff welcoming , lovely food . Our room we felt could do with some draw space , other than that all good .

Lovely place to stay, clean and tidy , it is on Main Rd and is a listed property so could suffer from some noise although ear buds are provided and the beds are so comfortable that we had no problems sleeping, bathroom was huge and it's only 15 mins walk or 5 mins drive from the caves and Gorge. But stay there and book the Restaurant for the best food and Breakfast , very happy with our stay even though it was only one night. Super attentive staff looked after your every need

The accommodation, service, staff could not have been better. My husband and I stayed 2 nights for a birthday treat, we were welcomed warmly and shown to our room. Bed was very large and comfortable. We ate at the hotel both evenings and also had breakfast. All meals of high standard and the breakfast was enormous, set us both up for each day. I would highly recommend a stay at the Bath Arms. A very satisfied customer.

We had a wonderful stay here. Staff were brilliant, so helpful & friendly. We arrived early & the hotel looked after our luggage so we could go to the cheddar caves. Only a 10 min walk.Our room was very nice & comfortable. Light & spacious. With tea, coffee & treats in the room.Dinner was delicious, as was breakfast where we were offered more toast & croissants if we wanted. A nice touch on check out was the bottles of water. We would happily come back to stay.

Two night stay - large, comfortable rooms and excellent bathroom facilities. Food (breakfast and dinner) was superb. The only downside as a hotel resident is that the bar service closed at 10.30pm so no opportunity for a night cap with friends before turning in for the night (a minor point). Would recommend.

Great sized rooms, comfy and relaxing bar area, flexible dining options professional staff and a friendly, helpful owner. The lack of double glazing due to the listed building wasn't a problem as it was quiet at night. Every where was clean and relaxing.

Bath Arms is a comfortable and convenient hotel. It is well-situated with easy access to what Cheddar has to offer. Breakfasts are good, the room was comfortable and well-appointed, and the rear parking was extremely handy.

Stayed for a couple of nights, would love to have stayed longer. Lovely comfortable room, great facilities and nice little extras in the room. Delicious dinner in a relaxing restaurant which was just what we needed after a long day sightseeing. Can’t fault the place, will return one day fingers crossed

Absolutely marvellous from even before we got there till we left, a phone call from the hotel before we got there because we were running late asking if we wanted something to eat before they shut, staff was so friendly n helpful, the food was exquisite, the room wonderful honestly can’t fault our stay definitely coming again just for the hotel

The Bath Arms hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Kingfisher room which was very clean spacious and well kept throughout our stay. Some nice touches were the little jars of nuts and sweets in the room which were replenished every day as were the free water, tea, coffee and little packs of biscuits. The housekeeping of the room was excellent. All staff we met were professional, pleasant and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were very substantial and food abundant with a varied menu that would suit everyone's tastes. A stay at the Bath Arms is to be recommended and you will not be disappointed.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at The Bath Arms Hotel in Cheddar.Being very particular about where I stay when on holiday I can honestly say this hotel ticks all the boxes for us. The accommodation was excellent, the food was first class and the staff ( especially Jaquie and Chris )were so friendly and accommodating nothing was to much bother for them to assist with any queries.We have already informed them we will be booking up for next year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL !

We stayed one night in this comfortable hotel. Spacious bedroom. Plenty of parking space and attentive staff. Good breakfast. Although on the main road there was little traffic during the night and we both had a restful night.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bath Arms Hotel at Cheddar. The hotel was tastfully decorated, our room was a good size, comfortable and clean. Good shower and bath, lovely toiletries provided. Good selection of teas/coffees in room with accomanying biscuits & snacks. Fresh milk in a flask was provided on request. We stayed during extremely hot weather conditions but the hotel was generally cool and we were supplied with a fan in our room. Our breakfast was also cooked fresh and was tasty, a great start to the day. We ate at the hotel on our first night and the food was very good, we both really enjoyed our meals. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Free car parking readily available and an easy stroll into Cheddar. Would certainly return!

A warm welcome was the start to a really enjoyable short stay at Bath Arms Hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, and dinner in the main restaurant was excellent - lovely room, also. Breakfast, next morning, matched that quality. It felt as if all the staff cared about the service they were giving. Top notch place.

Bath Arms Hotel in Cheddar is an excellent hotel. The staff were all friendly and efficient, the room was clean and comfortable. We returned to the Bath Arms and once again were very pleased. Friendly helpful staff, good car parking, a good room and breakfast included.As on previous visits, we like to finish our evening back at the Bath Arms as it has a pleasant bar to relax in.On this occasion the bar was closing earlier than on previous visits, with staff clearing up when we returned soon after 9pm and last orders around 9.30pm.Hopefully, this will change as things ease up post-Covid.

This hotel is lovely, ideally located for the gorge,Wooky Hole and Wells. The accommodation is superb,the food is outstanding and the staff are very friendly and so helpful.Nothig was too much trouble.I would highly recommend this.

We stayed for two nights at The Bath Arms Hotel in a superior double room (Goldfinch) which was lovely and spacious. Super king sized bed, very comfortable, and a large bathroom. We also ate in the restaurant. The food was superb, I can highly recommend it. Breakfast delicious too and the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially the lady who organises breakfast. Well located too for the gorge. Only a few minutes walk to it with all the shops, cafes and restaurants at the base of it. Would definitely return for a stay.

Very central location, we were able to walk to all the places of interest. Large private car parking. The room was a good size and well presented. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and delivered excellent service. The food was really great, much choice, well cooked and superbly presented, plus an excellent bar serving some great beers…..what is not to like about this well run establishment!

It’s just a great place to stay. Great location , spacious rooms with a really comfortable bed. The staff were excellent, always on hand to help. Really good breakfast with plenty of choices. We had our anniversary meal in the restaurant which was excellent. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!

This was the first time we stayed at the Bath Arms Hotel and will certainly be coming back. It is everything you expect from a listed building, the room was certainly big enough and adequately fitted out.We ate in the restaurant most nights and the food was excellent, along with the friendly staff. My wife, myself and our friends had a lovely break at the Bath Arms Hotel recently. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, food was good and the service excellent. It is centrally located for shops and close to Cheddar Gorge. We would have no hesitation in returning.

We enjoyed our stay at the Baths Arms Hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very nice and the food delicious.My parents are elderly so walking up the stairs was challenging so a lift would be a welcome addition.Overall a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bath Arms, all the staff were happy and friendly and pleased to help. The food was excellent, large full English for breakfast and lots of choice for evening meals. The rooms were large and very clean.The Bath Arms is perfectly situated for exploring Cheddar and it's Gorge as well as Stonehenge and Wells. Hope to be back soon.

This hotel is excellent.The room was very clean and the bed comfortable.We had dinner, which was very good.The welcome and service were friendly.The hotel is conveniently situated, but as such, has a noisy road in front.However the worst of the traffic noise stopped around 11pm so we were able to enjoy a good nights sleep.Breakfast was also very good.

We booked on the off chance as we hadn't been to Cheddar for nearly 30 years and wanted a revisit. Have to say I can't rate the Bath Arms too highly. The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were enormously friendly and helpful. Ate in the restaurant on the evening and the food was of an extremely high standard. Breakfast was also amazing. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely 4 night stay in the kingfisher room. Lovely location. Very large room, bright and airy. Huge bath and separate shower always very hot water. Staff all very helpful, food very good. Two staff members we chatted to frequently said how good the owners were too them which was really nice to hear and would have contributed to the way they represented the hotel. We will definitely stay again.

Had a great stay, the room was nice and roomy.Only comment would be that there was no mirror to the nearest socket to dry your hair.Lovely stay and would stay again.

We stayed at the bath arms for a weekend in May 2022. The hotel is in a great location for visiting Cheddar Gorge (on foot) and various attraction around the area. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff very friendly and courteous. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was extremely good. Would highly recommend.

We had a very good stay at The Bath arms Hotel. We arrived early as we had a tour at the Thatchers place at 2 so they were more than happy to let us have our room,Little robin. The room was beautiful spacious and very clean. Good information in the room. the staff were very professional and always helpful. We asked about a taxi to Thatchers and were given a reliable man , who was excellant. We were given information on how to best visit the Gorge and had a lovely cooked breakfast .We will defiantly return to The Bath arms.

Fine bed, fine food, fine hosts. What more do you need?Try the the scallops, try the mushrooms in blue cheese, try the chicken supreme - stay longer and try it all.First class!

Staff very friendly ,food excellent location excellent ,very nice clean tidy rooms ,but what I would add is that maybe need to get shower Matt for bath ,but we had a really relaxing stay .

We had a 4 night stay in the Kingfisher room, which was really nice. Large comfy bed and big bathroom with a separate shower. The breakfast choice was great and everything was beautifully cooked. The service was great and the staff very attentive, especially Hannah. Would totally recommend staying here to anyone.

A nicely located, quality hotel with large bar and restaurant run by attentive, friendly staff. We stayed two nights. Chefs are clearly good at their job as the food was excellent, reasonably priced and the Restaurant had a front of house service many places could learn from. Breakfast was first rate too -recommend the gourmet Breakfast Bap! Our pleasant room was road facing which was a little noisy at times but not a real problem. Only downer is the room was a little tired in places and a broken shower seal had caused some panel damage. Overall though - an enjoyable stay and will happily stay again.

We stayed for three nights at the Bath Arms Hotel & had a lovely stay. The room was lovely, very comfortable, very clean, excellent bed linen & a wonderful bathroom with a bath & a shower.Breakfast was great loads of choice, if you go away hungry it would be your own fault.All the staff were wonderful so friendly, helpful & attentive without being over the top.Hotel is in a great location with plenty of car parking & is close to all the Cheddar attractions.We will certainly be coming back, thank you for a great stay.

We arrived late because of delayed flights and the restaurant had closed. But because we phoned on the way we could order meals and was served a lovely dinner. Very nice and friendly!

Never really know what to expect when booking for the first time but was very pleasantly surprised. Very efficient welcome on a very busy Sunday afternoon. Room met all our requirements for a 1 night stop- over. Food was excellent and the Manager and his staff were all efficient and friendly.Perfect for a stop over on route to Cornwall.

We enjoyed our stay from start to finish. Room was good , food very good and the same with the staff.The young lady who looked after our breakfasts in the mornings was very helpful. We would be happy to return.

Well organised and clean and welcoming place to stay, with good sized rooms with facilities in them. Breakfast was very good and the evening meals were exceptional and I highly recommend staying there again not just for the above but only a 10 minute walk into the heart of cheddar too.

Overnight stop off travelling north back from Cornwall. Everything you need for a 1 nighter with large airy room, big bathroom, and at night it is very quiet indeed so a good nights sleep. Breakfast really good with lots of options and staff very welcoming and helpful.

We had a lovely 3 night break with friends staying in two superior rooms.The rooms were spacious, very clean and well equipped. There were several small extra touches that made our stay more enjoyable. The breakfast each day was excellant with lots of choice and all cooked freshly. We only had one evening meal which was also good.We would all happily stay again if in the area.

Stayed for two nights, hotel is very clean and the rooms are very nice. Bath room was a good size and the shower was great. Bed very comfy. The rooms are a little noisy it's quite a busy road and no double glazing, also the fan from the bath rooms make a lot of noise that can be heard from room to room. Even so this did not spoil our stay. We ate in restaurant for both night food was excellent, good service and a good price. Breakfast was wonderful too. Would recommend had a lovely time thanks to the great staff

Stayed for three nights. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It had most of the facilities you would normally get in a 5* hotel. The nibbles and water were a nice touch. The food was lovely although the portion sizes were too generous for our tastes. Breakfast starts at 08:00, not 10:00, as stated on the website. Good location for exploring Cheddar and beyond. Recommend using the park and ride at Long Ashton if you are visiting Bristol.

Visiting the area to visit family and found the bath arms perfectly placed for us. The room was very comfortable and the nibbles left very much appreciated.Breakfast was delicious as was our evening meal.We will not hesitate to recommend to others and use ourselves again. Lastly the staff, all were absolutely fantastic, not intrusive but willing to offer any help needed. Thanks 👍

We had a one night stop over on way home from Devon to Swansea, everything was top class, The staff, the room , the breakfast and the little extra`s in the room.The old saying " little things mean a lot " comes to mind when at check out we were asked the days plans, and when we said we were travelling home we were offered bottles of water for the trip. We stayed for two nights. We loved the food and the service. Our only criticism would be that the tv is poorly located. Otherwise a great stay.

We stayed for three nights over a long weekend. The hotel is lovely, the staff were friendly, and the location superb both for being able to visit family on foot, and walk around to the Gorge area.We dined one night in the restaurant, the food was excellent. The cooked breakfast was also very high quality, though we would have expected a little more from the continental buffet.The only disappointment, which for us was a big deal, was that after arriving back in the evening there was nowhere comfortably to enjoy a drink.On both Saturday and Sunday evenings, we had looked forward to a night-cap in the bar area. However, the bar had been cleaned up and was closing when we got back at about 10:20pm on the Saturday night, and again at 8:35pm on the Sunday night.Both nights we were offered drinks to take up to our room, but no comfy chairs are provided in the room and sitting on our bed to drink a pint of beer/glass of wine for the rest of the evening (particularly on the Sunday night) was not appealing.On the Sunday, we ended up heading back out to one of the other local pubs.It is a shame that a small area of the bar is not kept open for residents, even if shut to the public.(As an aside, we didn't think any of the "Travelling as" categories were correct for us, but it wouldn't let us submit the review without selecting something.)

This is a fantastic venue for a short break. The hotel is very comfortable. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The food served in the restaurant is excellent.Location is superb.Would highly recommend and will be booking again without hesitation.

We had a wonderful three night stay whilst exploring the local area. All staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast had great choice and really high quality, rooms were comfortable and clean and the bathroom was a great size with a brilliant shower. We also had a lovely evening meal in the pub too. A really lovely old building with plenty of parking at the rear and extremely attentive staff. Food at the hotel is amazing and would definitely recommend. The room was very clean, bright, tidy and presentable with all the features that you would come to expect. The building is close to the main road, so you do sometimes hear a little traffic, but to be honest, this is very minor.

Lovely hotel and staff. We had a good size room with comfortable bed. Tea and Coffee making facilities and bottled water and some nibbles. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice. We had a good meal in the pub in the evening. Would definitely recommend.

We spent a couple of nights here to do some walking in the Mendips and visit the bird reserves on the Somerset Levels. A very friendly and welcoming hotel, with helpful staff and excellent food and drink. Loved the log fires. We hope to return in the Spring and do it all again!

we enjoyed our stay, staff were great, meals very good and plenty of choice. slight fault with the central heating and an alternative heater was soon found. the bed was really comfortable, my wife usually has trouble sleeping the first night, but not this time.One thing I think is a shame, there must be a lot of heat loss through the single glazed, old fashioned windows and noisy at busy times, Im sure its because of the preservation status of the building. doesnt make much sense when the rest of the world has to work hard to save energy. must be very expensive for the owners who ,of course have to pass on much of the cost to customers. Everything else was good though.

As our son and family live in Cheddar we stay regularly.The rooms are spotless, breakfast cooked to order and, if we eat in the evening, the food is delicious.The staff are always friendly and go out of their way to make sure everything is as you wish. Highly recommended.

What a thoroughly marvellous stay.We stayed over the Christmas break and we couldn’t have wished for a better place to spend our first Christmas away. We stayed two nights at The Bath Arms. Our room was spacious and comfortable, at the back of the hotel away from a busy road, so very quiet. The welcome was warm ans hospitable, ber professional. The choice of breakfast was wide, with items freshly cooked and well-presented. The coffee was local and excellent. We ate in the restaurant on our second night and had a wide choice. The room was large and full, with, apparently, many local people dining. The service was good and the cooking high quality.

Great hotel with very comfortable rooms and thoughtful touches

Stayed at Bath Arms whilst visiting family. The hotel is centrally located to all amenities in Cheddar. Lovely breakfast with good selection. Room was decent size and very clean, the only thing I would suggest that bedding could be upgraded as our pillows hanging out of covers and no protectors. Having said that Ed was comfortable. Evening meals are always very good. Would stay again.

Our stay here was perfect. The service was excellent- and the accommodation was clean, comfortable and very roomy. The little extra nibbles in the room were welcoming. I would recommend the dining experience very highly - food was superb.

I bought a two day stay for my parents and they let me know that they thoroughly enjoyed their stay. They said the room and bathroom were spacious and well equipped and the food was excellent. I had booked the first nights meal for them but they were happy to book their second night in the restaurant as well. The menu was very varied and the food was well prepared and there was plenty of it.

The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the little extras such as the jelly beans and peanuts.The traffic noise took a bit of getting used to, but that was not your fault!Staff were helpful, pleasant and polite without exception, and the food was nicely cooked and attractively served.No complaints at all.

Lovely hotel in a great location. The room was so spacious, the bed was so comfortable and the bath was a nice touch after a long drive! We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast in the morning and both were perfect, they had great veggie options.We would defiantly stay again if we were in cheddar.

Superb staff, excellent food with some Asian twists which were delicious! Comfortable room, beautiful bathroom. Breakfast is extremely good, huge choice and as much as you like! Definitely would stay here again. I would take a mattress topper with me though as we found the mattress too hard.

Lovely clean and bright room, good size and comfortable bed. The room Kingfisher was over the kitchen and you could hear the fan although this was not a huge problem. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The cooked breakfast was average. Would stay again as this hotel was value for money and a great base for getting out and about.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. Our room was bright and airy. We ate there on our second night and the food was lovely. The staff were really friendly and helpful. As far as Covid was concerned we felt safe as everything was spaced, everything was clean the staff wore masks and table service was in place throughout. We would recommend it

The Bath Arms is a real find in the area. The rooms are very comfortable with a great bed and decent shower! The bacon sandwich is worth getting up for breakfast!The real success of this pub is the food. Quite a varied menu from Asian inspired to fish and chips and each time we have visited we have thoroughly enjoyed the food. Don’t miss out on the treacle tart too!

We stayed one night at The Bath Arms and it was wonderful. Staff were very welcoming and our room ‘Firewitch’ was to a very high standard. The stand out for us was the food, it was exceptional so props go to the Chef and team, breakfast was included and very filling and delicious. We will not hesitate to stay here again if we ever visit Cheddar in the future.

We chose Bath Arms Hotel as its location was ideal for our itinerary. The staff were extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The meals were excellent. Bedroom and bathroom were kept immaculate and there is adequate parking. Will stay with them again when we are in the area.

We spent just one night in Cheddar on our way elsewhere and I'm sorry it wasn't more! The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful, the room was clean comfortable (it started out a bit noisy but that settled down) and we felt perfectly safe the whole time. We enjoyed a drink out on the patio after a nice walk around town, a leisurely meal that was much higher quality than we expected based on the prices, and then a beautiful breakfast at a civilized hour in the morning. It's so appreciated when a hotel has reasonable breakfast hours and checkout time. :)We visited the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company on the way out of town leaving us well supplied for future snacking. A great experience all around.

We first stayed at the Bath Arms Hotel in 2019 for a 3 night break. We had such a nice time we stayed again for a 4 night break in September 2021. The Hotel is only a short walk from the village centre which is ideal for us.The Hotel staff have always been so attentive, and greet you every time you walk back into the Hotel, which makes you feel very welcome. The food is to a very high standard as is everything about the Hotel.We will definitely be returning again, as we know we won't be disappointed on our next short break.

Enjoyed our stay here and a very popular inn. Good location , gret food and beers and ample car parking.Only issue we had was during our stay had very hot weather and during the night needed to leave our bedroom window open ( room was on front of the hotel) , this was ok until 05.30 in the morning the heavy transport and local traffic was very noisy !!! Investment in air con would be good or avoid front house bedroom in very warm weather !!! That stated really enjoyed our stay here....

We spent one night at the Bath Arms to celebrate my husbands birthday. It is a lovely pub with great food and a choice of local ales to try. The room was clean and comfortable and in walking distance to Cheddar Gorge.

The food in the restaurant was excellent, rooms clean and comfortable, only slight niggle, there is no air-con and rooms get warm in summer.Would recommend to freinds and family.

Everything about the experience here was excellent. The room was well appointed and clean, the staff were all polite and friendly and the food was brilliant. The overall service was excellent.The only negative for our stay was the overnight noise from the road outside.However, this is something the hotel has no control over!

Stayed 4 nights here and had a really good stay. Room was large,light and airy and bathroom excellent, Breakfast had a good choice and was always served hot. Staff were friendly and professional and must mention Nick who worked so hard to please. Fantastic evening menu and good choice of beers. Short walk to the Gorge and good base for sight seeing in the area.

I would 100% return to this hotel, it was clean, great location, food was delicious but mostly the staff and service was outstanding. This was my first hotel stay since pre-covid and the staff went above and beyond. It had been that long since I’d been away I had forgot to pack marmite and the lovely man who worked behind the bar fetched some for me.

Fantastic staff, very helpful when we arrived early and needed a place to leave our luggage. Our room was terrific, not much of a view but very comfortable with a spacious bathroom and great shower. Breakfast was tasty, if not generous, with a good choice on the menu.

It's hard to fault this hotel. Everything was excellent.Friendly and helpful staff, fantastic food and a lovely room. Short walk from the start of the Gorge and nearby shops, cafes etc. We had 2 nights and although warned that the sound of traffic might be an issue, it wasn't. Definitely recommend it and we would want to stay there again if in Cheddar.

We have just got home from our 2 night stay , we booked 2 rooms for us and our good friends.the rooms were both spacious and spotlessly clean.the staff were very pleasant and accommodating.the food in the restaurant was top class.breakfast was great, a very good choice top quality ingredients and a big shout out to the the man that served our breakfast , my wife asked if they had any marmite ,unfortunately they had run out but 2 mins later he turned up with a jar, he had run to the local shop to get her some.fantastic service thanks.we would definitely recommend this hotelit is a great hotel/pub with great staff and in a great position being a short 5 min walk to the gorge

Needed somewhere to stay while attending a wedding nearby. We were greeted with a friendly welcome, large airy room, big bathroom and a large comfortable bed. Breakfast the next morning was also lovely.

We only stayed for one night, but wished we'd booked for longer. The room, pub and restaurant were all excellent and the breakfast the best we've had at a hotel, but it's the staff that made me want to leave a review - they were friendly and very accommodating, couldn't ask for more! We will definitely be booking a longer stay next time.

We found our stay at the Bath Arms very good indeed.Our room/bathroom was spacious, spotless and well-thought out i.e. mirror above a dressing table /desk with plugs close by for hair-drying purposes. a sensible and useful clothes rack and a choice of pillows.Bathroom toiletries are plentiful and good quality.We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on two nights in the restaurant. Unusual menu and very tasty.The staff, many of them young, were a delight and couldn't have been more helpful.

The stay was very good.

The young man that greeted us was fantastic. He was very friendly. The room was lovely, and the breakfast was amazing.The only criticism is that the bathroom needs a make over. The toilet flush was dodgy and the bath taps were extremely slow, and I couldn't get the temperature right. I had to use 10 kettles of cold water. I wouldn't mind so much if paying £79-80 but it was £130 and we were there on minimum rest

Lovely looking building in the heart of Chedder. Greeted by Ian who was very informative. Our room was excellent. Bath and shower very clean. Our evening meal was amazing (Ribeye) breakfast was equally as good. Compliments to the chef. My only downside was that my wife asked for a Malibu and pineapple and was told by the waitress "we don't do that" however, at breakfast the following day I noticed a bottle of Malibu on the shelf! Surely the young lady could have inquired at the bar.Overall, a lovely stay in a nice pub in a lovely location.

We have just enjoyed a two night stay at The Bath Arms.Our room was the Kingfisher room, it was bright, spacious and clean. Tea and coffee facilities were provided with extra touches of complimentary bottles of water(sparkling and still)also nibbles of nuts and jelly beans.Staff were all very helpful and friendly, sadly we can’t comment on the food as restaurant was closed due to extractor fan in the kitchen had broken and they were awaiting a new part. The staff kept us informed and advised of nearby places to eat which were lovely. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, tables are well laid out with social distancing still adhered too and all staff worn face masks.Overall a lovely two night stay and we would highly recommend staying here, will definitely stay here again when visiting the area. ????

The room was really comfortable with some extra touches you wouldn’t expect on an overnight stay. We had dinner at the hotel which was exceptional as was the breakfast. A great location for sunny drinks on the terrace at the front of the hotel and for exploring the surrounding area. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The menu was varied and the food tasty. Likewise, the inclusive breakfast was excellent. We were offered unlimited breakfast, but found the portion size of the cooked breakfast more than ample.In short, a great place to stay.

The room was spotless, staff were friendly and the food was excellent.We had a great stay, and explored the local area with stunning walks through the Gorge and around the reservoir.

We had a lovely couple of days staying at the Bath Arms. The food was great and all the staff very pleasant and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay, the room was very good, and realy clean. Staff excellent, and the evening meal we enjoyed so much. Just a note for any vegitarians, my wife had a choice of at least 3 or 4 starters, and plenty of choices for the main meal.And this makes a plesant change. Well done all round !!!

Warm welcome, excellent room (be aware that rooms facing the street can be bit noisy so can't keep window open at night). Staff very accommodating and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Good pub food.

Lovely hotel, bright clean bedroom and bathroom with extra little touches which make all the difference.Every one of the staff were very friendly and bent over backwards to make us feel very welcome.Food was delicious and very plentiful at both dinner and breakfast.Very well situated with free parking and within walking distance to Cheddar attractions.

We stayed here fir one night asa mini tour of the region. Easy check in with a warm welcome. Had a late lunch and then wandered around the town. A good size room with a very nice bathroom.We had booked for dinner and the food was excellent along with a local ale and a couple of glasses of red wine.Took advantage of the ear plug offer and overnight road noise was minimal any way.Highly recommended with friendly and attentive staff

We had a great stay at the Bath Arms excellent food comfortable room really friendly and helpful staff.If I was to find a fault it was the noise level in our room from lack of double glazing in the room, but we were provided with earplugs, so all good.

Room was great, everything you could want.Had a superb meal in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast too, delicious!One negative, we were unaware that bar closed at 9pm, too late to order a night cap. Not a disaster but would have finished off our meal nicely.

Enjoyed our stay at the Bath Arms the weather was great sunny and warm but this didn’t detract from the excellent service we received from all the staff all the time of our stay. We enjoyed the food although the choices were slightly limited they were nicely presented and we had no complaints.Our room was clean and comfortable and all the services worked ok, the shower always provided hot water at a constant temperature and pressure.If we are going to the area again we would have no hesitation but to stay at the Bath Arms.Thank you all the staff for your prompt and friendly service.PS Covid-19 procedure very good.

From the second we arrived to when we checked out I cannot find a fault.All staff we encountered we’re very nice(a genuine nice not forced) and helpful.The room(quaintly named Little Robin)was incredibly clean, very spacious and had all we needed and more including some complimentary snacks & local bottled water. Being so close to road with windows being single glazed due to conservation restrictions we thought sleeping may have been an issue but not in the slightest.We chose to have an evening meal there which proved a very good choice as it was proper nice & breakfast next day was fantastic.Would highly recommend and if we stay in area again it will be our go to hotel.

Lovely hotel, great location in Cheddar close to the gorge and lots of beautiful places to visit nearby. Our room was bright and spacious, very comfy bed and plenty of choice for breakfast which was very nice. Met up with family had fantastic weekend enjoyed drinks sitting outside and food in the restaurant was wonderful. Great service all round and very friendly staff.

We’ve been to stay in this hotel three times - the first time for our honeymoon and the two subsequent times for our wedding anniversaries. We absolutely love it - have stayed in three different rooms now and all great and a very high standard of cleanliness and neatness. Excellent location and 10/10 breakfast, can’t fault anything about this amazing hotel!

Room - very good, very clean, as expected. Front outlook overlooking main road so some traffic noise which was expected due to single glazed windows, but no real issue.Breakfast - Excellent. Freshly cooked to order in very nice dining room.Evening meal - great menu, excellent quality of food and wine list. "Skittle Alley" was a very nice place to eat in.Service - All members of staff were on point and very attentive when required.Can't say anything else apart from I will return.

Room was clean and functional, Dinner was lovely on all the nights we stayed, tea,coffee facilities in room was sparce and we had to keep asking to milk etc. Breakfast was nice but quality levels kept changing on each of the mornings. Staff were superb throughout, friendly and helpful.Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was amazing. Firstly the staff were very kind and helpful, especially during this uncertain covid time. The food and drinks had a lovely variety and tasted amazing - especially the roast Beef. Upstairs to the bedroom. Well.... it was a lovely size, the bed was unbelievably comfy and the bathroom was big especially the tub! The room had all the amenities we needed - just need to remember next time to look in the drawer for the hair dryer :)The location was excellent and easy access by car and foot to buy the local treats and see the local sites. We will be returning hopefully in the future and reccomended the Bath arms to family and friends.

Enjoyed a two night stay here. Should mention the COVID control, which was very good. The public areas are very spacious and tables are well-separated. We ate in, both nights at a lovely, cosy spot next to the log burner. We had the squid and chilli beef starters which were both tasty and well-executed and we particularly enjoyed the slow-cooked lamb and hake main courses, although maybe a bigger piece of fish would be good, you left me wanting more!The room was bright and clean with a comfortable bed and the staff were really excellent, professional, friendly and efficient.

The Bath Arms gave us everything needed when travelling. Hot water any time of day, large comfortable clean accommodation, bath and shower,opening windows, excellent food, friendly helpful staff, available parking, tv/wifi access, tea/coffee making facilities with cookies. Well done!

Its only 2 hours away from us, we visit as often as possible. It's located about a10 minute walk from all the shops and caves etc.Amazing rooms. Fantastic breakfasts. The evening menu is always top notch & executed to perfection. Staff are always happy and extremely attentive too. Two visits since lockdown ended and roll on November for our next visit!!

We stayed for 3 nights and ate in the restaurant for breakfast each day and twice for evening meal. The room was lovely, nice comfy bed and big bathroom. Food and service in the pub/restaurant was excellent. Would certainly recommend to there if in the area.

We were delighted with our stay at the Bath Arms Hotel.From the moment of our arrival we couldn’t speak more highly of all members of staff, who combined a friendly and relaxed manner with a professional and efficient service.The food was delicious, the room comfortable and there was a bonus of generously sized bath sheets.We are very happy to recommend the Bath Arms and look forward to a return visit.Finally we should mention the attention to detail regarding all the necessary Covid related precautions.

The staff were very friendly and very attentive,they were faultless! The breakfast and dinner was amazing and we were happy with the menu choice. Our room was a superior twin , however I would say it was of normal standard, not worth the superior price. There was a outdoor fan outside the window that kept us awake all night. I appreciate the building is protected and can't have new windows, however we would like to have been warned about the noise whilst we booked the room.

Fabulous Hotel ideally suited for Cheddar Gorge. Staff were really helpful and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. All smartly attired in branded clothes. Whole hotel was spotlessly clean. Bedroom was really large and well appointed. Breakfast was of the highest quality as was the one evening meal we had in the reasturant. Good track and trace in operation. Plenty of hand sanitizer around both indoors and in the fantastic outside areas. Many thanks for looking after us.

My only complaint was the refusal to pass on the vat reduction to us the customer around £30.00 or offer a complimentary meal or drink. We had seen in the press that this should be passed on although we were told the owners/pub chain were not doing so poor customer service in my eyes

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Bath Arms Hotel in Cheddar.It had a lovely village atmosphere situated in the centre of the village with free car parking. Very friendly,helpful and professional staff. Excellent food.Enhanced cleaning and guest safety measures were in place.

We stayed at the Bath Arms for 2 nights in September.Room was very clean and fresh, also the bathroom, bright and airy and well equipped.Staff were VERY helpful and approachable - couldn't do enough.The breakfast was quite poor, very limited, full English was tasty, nicely cooked. Drinks options were limited, toast was appalling - dry and cold. Choice was limited. Needed more to snack on by mid morning.

We were 3 old codgers walking the Mendip from Weston super Mare to Frome. From our arrival to leaving, the staff were welcoming and efficient. The Covid rules were thorough with surfaces sanitised before the next party sat down. The bedrooms were large as were the beds and bathrooms - a real plus. The evening meal was proper cooking and much appreciated, as was the breakfast. This was not cheap, but it was good value for the price. Top marks!

The rooms were excellent. The hotel is in a conservation area so the windows are original and there can be road noise. It did not disturb us in the slightest but the hotel will supply ear plugs if required.The food was also excellent. The staff very polite and attentive. Our two stopovers were excellent- we enjoyed good breakfasts, lunches and dinners served willingly and enthusiastically. The bedrooms were quite spacious and airy. The traditionalplumbing worked well. The parking spacious and easy. A special mention for Becka who really helped to make our stay so pleasurable.

Stayed one night. We wanted to walk the Cheddar Gorge and the location was perfect. Sweets, nuts and water in the room was a nice touch. The sraff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you. Evening meal was delicious.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at The Bath Arms. We stayed in a superior double room. (Exactly like the photos) The room was spacious and light with comfy bed and great bathroom. The breakfast and restaurant food was really good and the staff were very friendly. At night/ early morning the road outside is surprisingly loud for a small village but the hotel supply ear plugs which make it fine. The measures put in place for the current covid situation worked well and made us feel very safe. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.Thanks for your hospitality!

We stayed for 3 nights in a Superior Room. The large room with en-suite was immaculate with lovely bathroom essentials. COVID rules were in place and strictly adhered to. Very friendly helpful staff, superb location. We ate each evening in the restaurant and the meals were delicious, especially the Asian Lamb. If I could make one suggestion, you would expect a cheese board on the menu as an alternative to desert, especially as you are visiting Cheddar! Other than that everything was spot on perfect. Thank you for making our short break relaxing and enjoyable x

Lovely large room, comfortable and clean. Lots of sanitising stations available. Asian super food salad was superb. Toilet in bar was a little disappointing as waste paper towels were overflowing from the bin and onto the floor. Requested Poached eggs on toast for breakfast which were overcooked.

Stayed in a superior double room for 2 nights.Room was clean and spacious with all essentials you would need. Nice little extras such as fresh milk available in a flask, ear plugs, sweets and nibbles...Staff were all very helpful and friendly.Food was good. We had full English breakfast both mornings. We also ate lunch and dinner there too.By far the best place to stay in Cheddar and we would definitely return.

We stayed here for our first weekend away since lockdown and were very impressed by the cleanliness and hygiene standards. The room was spacious and lovely and the staff really friendly. We stayed 3 nights and ate here for 2 including the Sunday roast, which was amazing. Highly recommended.

We found this Little gem, and we are so glad we need . Room was light and airy, with plenty of little a touches . Very nice. Friendly atmosphere and staff.Good food.Only thing I would say is try to get a room at the back of the hotel as the front can be a little noisy with the traffic from out the front main road at night when you're trying to get to sleep. In fairness the management have acknowledged this and provided ear plugs if required as they are unable to fit double glazing due to heritage status of the property. Perhaps a tad on the expensive side per night but that's what you got to pay for the convenience of the location I suppose.

great find, our room had everything we wanted with a few little extra treats which was a nice touch, The main bar area with its log fires also serves the local community which we really found gave the bar a great atmosphere and buzz, on our first night we ended up staying in the bar all evening and eating there, The Bath Arms also has a great restaurant for those wanting a quiet evening could not fault the food, plenty to choice, also added benefit a short walk to cheddar caves, this one is definitely on the return list, thanks to all the staff who made us feel very welcome

We had a very good stay at the Bath Arms Hotel, staff were very helpful and polite made you feel very welcome. Rooms were very clean and spacious. The one thing that they didn't have was a mobile phone charging facilities in the room. The meals were good and so were the breakfasts.

I've stayed here a few times - it's a great pub (restaurant) and a nice hotel. Given its location and the age of the windows (and the fact they cannot be replaced) you do get some road noise but that is to be expected. The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast is great. The food in the restaurant is top notch.

This trip was our second visit staying in The Baths Arms hotel overnight and we have nothing to complain about. Myself and my partner have been coming to Cheddar for 5 years and we always stop by for a spot of lunch but the past 2 years we have decided to a stay. The rooms are clean and bright, the staff are very friendly and the drinks and food in the bar/restaurant is fantastic. We look forward to returning to The Bath Arms in the future!

Right from the start the service was excellent. We received a warm welcome with lots of info on places to visit. We had dinner in the restaurant and all three courses were excellent. Really tasty, well presented and again, excellent service.We had the Nightingale room and were a bit dismayed that theour 'superior' double had the kitchen extractors firing out at our window. However they went off at about 10pm and didn't come on until 7.30am, so they weren't too disruptive at all. The bed was very comfy, the toiletries lovely and the bath was huge!I would definitely book to stay again if we re-visit this beautiful part of the country.

The hotel is lovely, the rooms are clean and airy, cleaned and re-stocked every day. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the area is lovely. Only suggestion would be a recommendation list in the room of things to do.

We stayed here on the recommendation of previous reviewers. The Bath Arms certainly lived up to our expectations. Our room was lovely, food excellent and staff looked after us very well indeed. One little niggle: during the night the heating went off completely, leaving the ensuite bathroom towel rail as the sole source of heat for the bedroom. In early January that wasn't quite enough! We mentioned this at breakfast next morning and an additional duvet was provided by lunchtime.

The Bath Arms is an extremely friendly and welcoming establishment. The food is very good and the rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. It has a lovely ambience and is excellent value for money.

Had an impressive two night stay over New Year. Ate in the restaurant both nights and were very taken with the quality and variety of the dishes. Particularly enjoyed the Asian influence in some of the specials. Breakfasts were superb, with a large choice from the menu. .The staff were so professional as well as friendly and the service was of a high standard throughout, with some thoughtful touches- we were offered water for our journey home.It is a lovely old building, refurbished to a good standard, but we would recommend earplugs as suggested in the welcome letter. The heating in the room was variable and appeared to be off altogether on our first evening.

Did a late booking on Xmas eve for New Year break [30 & 31 December] including restaurant.What a gem this place is, staff couldnt be more accommodating and friendly, lovely building in great location.The real stars are in the restaurant, the kitchen staff pulled out all of the stops to adapt as many of the dishes as possible to accomodate my wifesallergy [dairy], very few establishments have gone this far before and it made her feel very comfortable.I would recommend this place to anyone, it was great [and i didnt even mention the room, it was clean and spacious -- all that you could want from a room]Good food ---- good service ----- good room---- good value -- what more??will return

We had a room at the front of the hotel, so were a little disturbed by the traffic noise. I imagine this could be more of a problem during the summer if windows were open. We only had 1 chair in our room. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Staff were very friendly & helpful.

We were so happy we chose the Bath Arms Hotel to stay at for our early Christmas Break. We arrived to find a nice sized car park, very welcoming staff, a lovely bar area, a good sized double room which was immaculately tidy. The food... WOW. It was certainly delicious and a cut above the rest. We usually try different places over a weekend away, but we decided straight away that we’d be staying put for the duration. Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. Spacious immaculate bedroom. Price included breakfast . Good dinner menu of excellently prepared and presented meals.

We decided to stay here as it was a convenient midway point for an old friends meet up. We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. There was a lovely atmosphere throughout. Being in the accommodation business myself you could tell that whoever was in charge wanted their guests to feel valued.Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed and extra pillows if needed. There were plenty of toiletries, fluffy towels and quality toilet tissue! Tea making facilities were provided with a good choice of beverages, along with extremely yummy biscuits. Bottled water and nibbles were also provided which was an added bonus.We ate in the restaurant and dinner was a triumph. One of the specials (a lamb dish) was an all round hit and the batter on my fish was just divine. There was a good choice on the wine list. Compliments to the chef!Breakfast was just as good with an excellent choice. Having good quality jams/marmalades etc on the table always sets the tone.Plenty of parking too.We will be recommending to others and hope to return (as a couple) when we need to travel to Bristol Airport again.

Great place to stay when visiting Cheddar Gorge. After hiking the gorge this was a cosy and welcoming place to return to. Delicious meal from a varied menu and lots of little extra touches made this a perfect stay. Would highly recommend.

Stayed for 2 nights and can’t fault this place. The room was very spacious and very clean with nice complimentary touches and a very comfortable large bed. Ate in the pub both nights as food was very good, same for breakfast.All staff were friendly and professional.

I arrived at the Bath Arms Hotel very late on the evening . The staff were very friendly and even though it was late made me very welcome and look after me. The room was fine breakfast was excellent and would I would certainly return.

We have family in Cheddar so wanted somewhere to stay overnight close by. The Bath Arms is a great choice; the room was comfortable, clean and with a large and immaculate en-suite. Fresh milk for tea making also a huge plus and there was a good breakfast choice. Again, the food was prepared to an unusually high standard. Top marks for here and we will stay again!

We were dealt with efficiently on arrival, shown our room and had meals etc explained. Room clean, well stocked for hot drinks etc, spacious room with huge bathroom. Some road noise, but not enough to keep us awake.

We absolutely loved the Bath Arms. Our room was emaculately clean and spacious. We had a superior double with a bath and the bath was enormous. We loved the decor of the whole place along with great atmosphere. The food was incredible and staff could not be more helpful catering to our needs. We would definitely come back again. The location was great as very close to the gorge, the city of wells, street and less than an hour from Longleat, so plenty of options for day trips whilst there. All in all a wonderful weekend away

Selected this hotel as a stopover on our way home from Cornwall and to visit the gorge and cave. It exceeded our expectations - especially the food which was excellent. A great end to our holiday

Excellent room, and facilities for an old property. A bit of roadside noise but not enough to spoil the stay. Food mostly good but not great but that may be personal taste. Service from all staff was excellent especially the Manager who showed real interest in our opinions. Thank you.

Lovely hotel within walking distance of the gorge. The hotel is tastefully decorated, the bathrooms luxurious and the beds large and comfortable. The evening meals/menu are superb and the breakfasts also very good. We booked the hotel originally because of its no dog policy, there are dogs in the bar but not in the restaurant fortunately.Avoid the kingfisher room as it is badly appointed and is really noisy from the kitchen extraction unit.

Our 4 night stay was brilliant. The staff were so genuinely pleasant, making time to ask how each day out went for us. Our 1st night meal was in the Bath Arms restaurant, where the food was very high quality. The staff recommended other local restaurants for our remaining nights out, which was generous of them to do. We will definitely be going back there on our travels, as the Hotel and staff really made our week special. Plenty of places to visit for days out.

Four of us stayed so we could visit the area. Good sized room and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The room was a good size and pleasantly decorated. Water, sweeties, nuts and sleep spray and ear plugs were a nice touch. Excellent food and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There was a little road noise which was a shame but it can’t be helped. Still enjoyed our stay.

Hotel is in the center of cheddar and a short walking distance to the gorge the staff were all very nice and helpful the room and bathroom were fantastic all very clean we had an evening meal and breakfast both very good my only disappointment we could not stay longer

What a delightful hotel. The room was lovely, the food was superb and the atmosphere was like home from home. The staff are attentive and helpful. With it being an adult only hotel, it made for an even better getaway. Not forgetting the good gin selection I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Our stay in the Bath arms for 2 nights was very pleasant. Both the accomodation and the food was very good.The only small comment we have is that we we're asked both in the restaurant and breakfast area quite a few times if everything was ok for us. We think asking this just once is just fine, unless of course this is company policy.Apart from that, a really nice break.

We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived at the bath arms. What a lovely hotel. We loved the room we had been given it was lovely a clean and bright with the most comfy of beds. Loved the little touches with the sleep spray, bottles of water sweets and nuts in the room. We also had dinner in the restaurant which I have to say was amazing from the service from again the lovely young lady who had checked us in to the fabulous food which we was expecting such a high standard. I would recommend anyone staying in Chedder this hotel is a must. Our only issue is that we didn’t have time for breakfast or for another nights stay. Well done bath arms fantastic little find.

Right from check in the staff were so friendly, polite and helpful. Our room was great, very well presented and huge, bathroom lovely too.We booked dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent, couldn’t fault it at all.Breakfast was also great, wide choice on the menu and nothing was too much bother for the staff, all extremely polite and friendly.Only stopped the one night, walked to Cheddar Gorge the following day and spent a good few hours.Hotel were happy for us to leave the car in their car park whilst we explored.Gave us bottled water for our journey home, nice touch.Would highly recommend the hotel and most definitely the food.

We stayed for four nights in June 2019. The room that we had was very nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast was good, a little disappointed with an evening meal in the restaurant though. The staff were lovely, very helpful especially when I left one of our bags behind which they sent on to me. Large carpark at the back of the building, I was impressed with that. Overall we were very happy with our visit.

We had a great time there, the room was really nice and stylish, the food extraordinary, everyone was very kind.

you have no pet friendly rooms. We bring our own high thread count Egyptian cotton sheets- we prefer them. We bring freshly laundered dog Egyptian cotton sheets too- she prefers them - they are cooliing. We remove all cushions from beds. Why? Because they are oftenthrown on the floor by guests....we donot allow her to walk on town pavements and in public areas? Why to prtotect her from infections....children and adults leave more ‘mess’ . Happy to pay a premium. Perhaps Kingfisher would be ideal as it spacious. Food was creative and pleasant on eye as well as palate I heard. and reflected passion and professionalism. Shame no breads or crepes to sample. Written by a home alone wife plus pet😶

The room was terrific. The staff was terrific. The breakfast and meals at the restaurant were terrific. The only negative was the poor wifi connection, but that’s apparently a problem throughout the town.

Staff excellent, food in restaurant excellent,Room good but not what I would have called premium, let down by hairs on skirting and bathroom tiles, broken toilet cistern. Although it is pointed out in the welcome letter the windows being in a conservation area cant be changed I believe there can be no excuse for them not closing properly and I don't expect to have to use the earplugs the hotel provide to make up for this.For our stay dead insects remained on ledges.You have to except this business is also a very popular pub/eating house and quite rightly so but that does mean that you won't get quite and separate checking in areas.If returning to the area I think we would look elsewhere first before returning here.

We stayed at the Bath Arms Hotel for three nights. The accommodation was warm and quiet with highquality furnishings. A couple of small quibbles only: the shower is over the bath, and we would have liked to have a grab rail to assist getting in and out. And a raised mat for the bath base, for secure footing. The shower on the other hand was great!And while the food at the bar was good, there were not enough vegetables or salad options. But not withstanding, we would stay again.

A one night stay, which we wish had been longer. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was excellent, and most importantly the staff were attentive friendly polite and efficient, would definitely reccomend a stay here.

We were very comfortable in the Firewitch room. Although this room is over the bar, we were not disturbed by undue noise. The staff were friendly and helpful and provided us with everything we needed.

The room was beautifully furnished, with great attention to detail, the bathroom, the towels, cleanlinessand the toiletries were first class,I always judge a hotel room by its bathroom. We had dinner, again well presented, well cooked creative food which was a pleasure to eat. The dining room was decorated elegantly for Christmas. Breakfast the following morning was excellent, the staff most helpful. We shall be returning if we are ever in the are again.

We have just returned from a 2 night weekend stay at the Bath Arm's Hotel and i have to say we loved it! The staff are friendly and accomodating. The food is amazing, accomodation very comfy and location is great. It was to celebrate my other halfs birthday and the staff working on the Saturday evening in the restaurant were brilliant. After traveling a few hours it was very pleasant to find this Gem in Cheddar. We were helped to our room on the first floor, it was a good size and well maintained. The location is great in the centre of everything. All the staff were pleasant,happy,chatty overall they were the best I’ve dealt with in a long time . Yes we will be back 😎

Liked the room although it was a bit cold and noisy. Nice touches and the bathroom/shower were first rate. Evening meal in the restaurant was perfect. A mixture of haute cuisine and pub food which was excellent. Breakfast was first rate as well. Forgot to mention the real ale. Spit Spot it was.

The Bath Arms was a lovely hotel with good food and very helpful staff.The bedroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable.Nice touches like fresh bottled water and small jars of peanuts and sweets.Walking distant to the village of cedar with a cheese making shop and of course the gorge.

My husband and I spent two nights here. The room was very nice...the bed excellent and the bathroom very comfortable. The food (breakfast and dinner) was absolutely outstanding in every way...taste...presentation and quality. Great coffee in the morning. The staff was excellent too. We would stay here again!

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Bath Arms.Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.The food was great both at breakfast and when we had an evening meal. The bar area is a nice place to relax after a day exploring the area.The hotel is within easy walking distance of Cheddar Gorge and other attractions in Cheddar Village so it was great to be able to park in the hotel's private car park at no extra cost.

From checking in to checking out, we loved our stay here. The guy who checked us in was very friendly. Showed us to our beautiful room, equipped with water, snacks and full sized bottles of toiletries!! They smelt so nice. We ate in the restraunt which was delicious!!!! Highly recommend eating there. The staff were great too. We had a great nights sleep, unfortunately we cannot comment on breakfast as we were too full to attend.. if it was anything like the evening meal i am sure it was delicious. Overall we enjoyed our stay, location, staff, food and room were brilliant. Can't fault it!

The room was very comfortable, only the storage of clothes was a little lacking. There was only enough hangers and space for my clothes, my husband had to manage with the suitcase. so a little more storage would be better. The staff were very friendly and attentive and food was absolutely fabulous.

We stayed a night here on our way back North.We enjoyed an excellent dinner and a superb breakfast.Our room and bathroom were spacious and immaculate.Would recommencit to anyone visiting the Cheddar Gorge area.Prices very reasonable for what we got.

A well presented hotel and helpful staff, it was particularly nice that at reception the member of staff was very willing to carry our case up to our well presented and comfortable rood.As the weather was good it was nice to be able to dine in the garden to the rear of the hotel.Food was good and well presented.Our only issue was the noise from the kitchen extractor fans when the bedroom windows were open. Overnight when the kitchen was closed it was very quite.

We picked a winner with this hotel from our first arrival we were met by a lovely young man who helped with our luggage and shown us to our room. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Food was excellent and staff very attentive. Would certainly recommend this hotel only one word to describe our stay which is outstanding as the title says,

Superb country pub set in a highly visited tourist area with fantastic rooms. Atmosphere in the pub was lovely and quaint with both families and groups of friends. Staff were friendly and polite, food was fantastic and well priced, local beer and cider on tap were all great (especially the silly cider!!). Rooms are massively underpriced. I was almost embarrassed at handing over £95 for a superb nights stay including 2 x breakfasts. Thank you Bath Arms, I look forward to seeing you again in the future.

We spent two nights at the Bath Arms. The room was lovely, very comfortable with somewelcome touches, like the nut and sweet jars and bottles of water. The bathroom was great, large bath, plenty of hot water and the best shower mixer I've ever experienced.Breakfast was exceptionally good as was dinner, we ate there both nights and all staff were extremely friendly and efficient.Can highly recommend and will certainly return.

We only stayed one night on a business trip. We found the hotel comfortable and well maintained . Room was spacious as was the ensuit bathroom. Facilities were just great. Lots of really hot water and lovely fresh towels.We had dinner in the dinning room and it was just fantastic. Breakfast was just as goodStaff were friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Will stay in they hotel again when in tis area.

This is our second time visiting cheddar; the first time we stayed somewhere else but ate at the Bath Arms every night, due to the quality, and hospitality of the staff! When I was asked where i would like to go for my birthday the Bath Arms was the only place I wanted to go. So we booked, and even with a 7 month gap from our first visit we were welcomed with that fantastic warmth we had been before! The food was again outstanding, and the room was beautiful with an amazing waterfall shower. Breakfast was beautiful and we were sent on our travels with a complimentary bottle of water each! I honestly couldn’t recommend more!

The bath arms hotel is a lovely village hotel with modern settings. The staff were very welcoming and friendly which made our stay extremely comfortable. We had breakfast and also had dinner both nights we were there. The food was delightful and they catered their menu to our needs.We walked to the gorge caves and mountains from our hotel. Definitely recommend the Bath Arms if you are staying in Cheddar.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bath Arms Hotel, the staff were very helpful and friendly and we had a really good evening meal in the restaurant. There was a good selection of breakfast options and we found the breakfasts to be of a good standard and portion size generous. The only negative we found was that the bath panel was suffering from damp penetration.

Wasn't too sure at first if this was a £95 a night hotel but not being a frequent user of hotels I hadn't much to go on. The room was ok in size,we've had bigger but it was clean and welcoming with lots of nice goodies filled up every day. A large modern clean bathroom with a really big bath. Excellent food and service. we enjoyed it so much that we stayed an extra night. Would have been 5 stars but for the traffic noise which cannot be remedied because of the restriction on changing the windows.

The room was spacious, clean ans comfortable.I had a great sleep.The staff were very friendly and helpful.Ate in the restaurant, good food, a bit rich in flavours, huge portions.Overall a great stay.

We were warmly greeted on arrival, swiftly checked in and shown to our room. Our room "Kingfisher" was spotlessly clean and a super king size bed awaited. The room was well appointed.The bathroom was wonderful even a monsoon shower.We had dinner in the restaurant, food was hot and tasty. They even found a bottle of Rioja which was not on the wine list.

We would definitely recommend The Bath Arms Hotel as an ideal place to stay in Cheddar. It seems to be popular with locals and holiday makers, making it busy and alive which we expected from a stay in a public house. The rooms were clean and inviting with a lovely big bathroom and bed. The complimentary snacks and water were a nice touch. TheOwners were very friendly as were all the staff that we came into contact with. Breakfast was very good and the evening menu in the evening was varied and appetising. Parking was easy and the hotel is situated away from the tourist strip but an easy short walk. We will certainly stay here again if we are in Cheddar.

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent two night stay celebrating my partner's birthday. The staff on arrival and during our stay were terrific, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food especially breakfasts were the best we have had. We stayed in Little Robin, room was exceptionally clean, well thought out and bed very comfy. We chose to stay during hottest June in 40 years, yes the rooms were hot but fans provided. The traffic noise was quite disturbing but expected, ear plugs in room were a nice touch. Great location and accommodation for a short stay

What an amazing place. From checking in to being served at the bar to having our evening meal, the staff were absolutely amazing. The quality of our dinner and breakfast was perfection. Our room was spacious, beautiful and comfortable and the bathroom was clean big and beautiful. The toiletries provided were of a high quality and extra touches in the room like little jars of peanuts and jellies and tea/coffee with biscuits were very much appreciated. I first thought this would be just a pub with accommodation but I was so wrong. I would highly recommend this place and the next time I will be booking into this place without hesitation

Kingfisher Room was a spacious and comfortable room with large bath and separate powerful shower. Wide range of excellent breakfast choices. We had dinner in the restaurant both nights of our stay. Food was beautifully presented and of exceptionally high standard. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Plenty of free parking space. Bath Arms is conveniently located to visit many tourist attractions in Somerset.

I have to visit Somerset regularly on business. I have stayed a number of times at The Bath Arms hotel. I find the stay enjoyable. The rooms are clean and tidy and really relaxing. Food is excellent and staff are lovely.

Really lovely stay in such a beautiful setting. Central to Cheddar and the many attractions. Loved the little pots of treats in the bedroom and the bath was more like a swimming pool!!!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend, thank you for looking after us so well.The rooms were lovely and the offer of fresh milkto make a proper cuppa was rare and very welcome.The food was superb in the restaurant and the vegetarian breakfast was excellent.Service throughout was very efficient and friendly and we would recommend you very highly.

When people leave reviews, they can get overly gushy and talk rubbish, this is as i found The Bath Arms.As clean than home, first class food, very professional and friendly staff.the amenities in the room work as they should, good large roomsEven if your in Bath or Bristol, its worth the mileage to stay hereKeep it up please

Absolutely beautiful hotel, room was clean and crisp with all of the facilities I needed and more. Ate in the restaurant downstairs and the food was impeccable, the staff were friendly and could not help enough. Will defiantly be staying here again. Only one cristicism....ran out of toilet roll as there had only been a little left on the roll.

Have known the place for a while and enjoyed lunching there. This time we stayed - had a relaxed and enjoyable evening meal, the room was well appointed and finished, the bed comfortable, the bathroom slightly on the cold side (local planning regulations mean older metal windows). Breakfast was especially good and the coffee well up with the best.

Stayed for one night whilst on our way to Cornwall. Lovely rooms clean, but a bit chilly. Food in restaurant was lovely aswell as the breakfast which was delicious.

We stayed at the Bath Arms Hotel for 2 days, the food was really good and the hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel only has Single glazing windows which makes the outside noisy.over all we were very pleased with the stay and we would definitely recommend the food and Hotel to anyone, Thank you Bath Arms.

I have stayed twice at the bath arms hotel both times been a single women working I found the staff very friendly and reassuring. Extremely polite. The room was lovely and clean and tidy.Food excellent. I come to Somerset regularly on business and will always stop at this hotel

This was our second overnight stay with The Bath Arms as we have friends who live in the area.The rooms are very comfortable, clean and spacious and the ambience is calm and serene.The food in the restaurant is very good and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Had a lovely stay. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Room was spacious and modern. The toiletries were very nice, I think I will be ordering soom very soon!

Absolute brilliant stay - we visited Cheddar for a few days relaxation after getting married. The staff were brilliant and the room beautiful. The food was tip top! It was exactly what we needed, thank you. We'll definitely be returning!

An excellent place to stay, eat, relax... we were lucky enough to chance upon the Bath Arms and - from the moment of arrival - knew we were on to a winner: fab & friendly service (particular thanks to Sean, Nadine & Mark), excellent food (every meal was quite simply fantastic); and a very nice room with a bed ranking top of comfiness.... really excellent stay, thank you

We stayed for 3 nights with a couple of friends for a chilled and relaxing weekend and we were certainly not disappointed.The rooms and beds were very comfortable and the food and hospitality were superb.Thank you to all the staff for their friendly service.The Bath Arms is now obviously the hub of the village.

Thank you for a lovely stay.Only one night in between meetings but possibly the friendliest staff and the best shower I have ever come across at a hotel (didn't need it but the bath tap doesn't work in that room) - regardless of price.Great meal as well. Stayed here 2 nights in November fantastic stay very friendly staff room was lovely and wanted to bring the bed home some lovely extra touches like jars of nibbles and bottles of water in the room . Would definitely recommend and return here

Cannot fault the hotel at all. Lovely bar, room, food and friendly helpful staff. Also excellent location with a nice walk up to the gorge. We will definitely be stopping there again and wouldn't think twice about recommending it to others.

Fantastic value for money, extremely professional, a little noisier than i like from taffic in a front bedroon. Woken by cleaning staff scraping chairs around at 5am.A first class pub/hotel with exceptional food too.

There are a few hotels to choose from in Cheddar and I picked this one based on the location and reviews though I wasn't to sure what to expect with it being a pub. Upon arrival we were shown to our room by Jaqui the owner(nice personal touch) Beautiful large clean room, nicely furnished. Most importantly the food is phenomanal, if you stay you must have dinner there. All the staff were brilliant and I look forward to going back at some point.
